Betting Strategies: NFL Team History New England Patriots

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

A Gambler’s Best Friend: If you have taken the Patriots over the past 4 years, odds are you’ve won. With a phenomenal straight up record of 58-16 and an even more stunning 47-25-2 ATS record, the Patriots are becoming America’s team, if only because they’ve been just as good of an investment as gas futures. With all their off-season moves, the Patriots will surely be the favorites in 2007, which is a shame, because the Patriots were 4-1 ATS and SU as an underdog last season.

Over or Under: Over the last 4 seasons the Patriots are 34-38-2 O/U. At home they play under the total at fairly consistent rate, going 14-24 O/U in New England over those 4 seasons. Away from home, the Patriots play above the total more often than not, going 20-14-2 O/U in the same span.

Against the Spread: Last season was one of the Patriots worst ATS years in the last 4 seasons, but they still finished 11-8 ATS counting their 3 game playoff run. At home, the Pats are 22-15-1 ATS over the last 4 seasons, and an amazing 25-9-2 on the road. The Patriots aren’t only an NFL Dynasty, but they’ve been making a nice little Sports Betting Dynasty as well.

Straight Up: The Patriots were said to be a little weaker than normal last season, and still managed 12 wins during the regular season, as well as 2 big playoff victories. Over the last 4 years, the Patriots have won more than there fair share of home games, going 32-6 at home and 26-10 on the road. With an improving conference, and a formidable playoff contender in the Jets, the Patriots went out and signed some big time free agents. Apparently they want to continue their Team Dynasty.

What a Run: From September 14th of 2003 until September 8th of 2005 the Patriots rocked the NFL world to the tune of 34 wins and only 3 losses. Tom Brady was on his game. During that time, the Patriots had streaks of 5 straight wins, 6 straight wins, and 21 straight wins… That wasn’t a typo, that was 21 straight victories. What a run. In those 37 games, the Patriots collected 28 wins ATS, going 28-7-2 over that 34 win run. That’s the stuff back to back championships are made of.
