The biggest regular season in years is this weekend when the high powered 8-0 Patriots roll into Indianapolis to take on the the 7-0 Colts. Who will stay undefeated? See what I have to say in blog about this mega matchup.
Nevada Wolf Pack @ New Mexico St.Aggies8:00pm EST 11-02-2007
Line: Wolf Pack (-6.5) @ Aggies (+6.5) Over/Under 68
Can New Mexico St. break through and finally beat the Wolf Pack on their own field?
Boise St. Broncos @ Fresno St. Bulldogs 9:00pm EST 10-26-2007
Line: Broncos (-3) @ Bulldogs (+3) Over/Under 62.5
Boise St is a beat up team and their best player, Ian Johnson,
is out for this game. Boise St doesn’t travel well, they are 5-12 ATS their last 17 road games and 4-10
as a road favorite, including 0-2 this year.
Fading teams off Overtime games I see
two games this weekend where the situations are
too inviting for me not to bet. First game, Utah St getting 7 points against Nevada and the second situational game is Florida -6.5 over Kentucky.
Nevada Wolf Pack @ Utah State Aggies 3:05pm EST 10-20-2007
#15 Florida Gators @ #7 Kentucky Widcats 3:30pm EST 10-20-2007
“The Super Bowl could be played in London one day”, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said. As an American and a fan of football, I find that to be
completely offensive. I understand that Goodell and the NFL want to take their game global, and I’m fine with that. I’m fine with playing games in Mexico, China, London, wherever. I’m fine if they want to put an
expansion team in Canada or any other region outside the USA. I understand that this is a global economy and that you have to
market your product globally. But I am completely opposed to this idea of allowing the Super Bowl to be played on foreign soil.
As a lifetime LA Laker fan, I’m
confused and very upset with the comments of owner Jerry Buss. Answering questions from LA beat writers, Buss said:
"I would certainly listen. At any time, I think you have to do that with anybody. It's just part of the game, to listen to somebody who has a
dissatisfied player that you think is going to fit. You can't keep too many loyalties. You've got to look at it as a business. He looks at it the same way I look at it."
I love hearing all the cries for a rule change that would
stop coach’s from calling time out before teams hike the ball and the kicker kicks the ball.
What’s next, defenses can no longer
blitz because it puts additional pressure on the quarterback?
It’s a shame when a head coach of a quality program like Georgia Teach gets in the way of winning a game. Georgia Tech missed a 52 yard field goal with minute left in their game vs Maryland.
Kentucky is getting tons of hype for their 5-0 start, and that
hype has really created some value here on the Game Cocks. Looking at what Kentucky has done this year, they've
beaten up some really bad teams.
It’s very rare that I don’t understand a line on an NFL game, but the Bears being a 3 point road favorite has me completely stumped. This line is strictly based on last years teams and odds makers and the betting public alike are not assessing the situation at hand.
Last week I gave some NFL betting advice, saying that if you like a favorite or over the Vegas total, to bet it
early in the week. Funny how things
turn out, but the game I mentioned was the Titans/Saints game.
Being a professional gambler is one of the more intriguing occupations. Any time I bring it up to strangers at a bar or party, when I mention I bet on sports professionally it always raises eyebrows and brings on multiple questions.
One of the best sports betting advice I received early in my career was this, If you like an NFL favorite or you like it over, bet it early in the week rather than late or up til game time.
