Fresno St +3
Boise closed at 3.5 point favorite @ Washington, they lost the game outright 24-10. Last week they closed a 17 point favorite @ La Tech, only to win by 14. Boise is a
solid program and a great team, when playing at home on the blue turf. But this team simply
doesn’t travel well and getting 3 points with a good Fresno team is enough for me to get involved. Fresno St has bounced back big time from last years
horrific season. They’re 5-2 and their 2 losses came on the road to Oregon and Texas A/M, both
big time legit programs. The Texas A&M loss went into overtime.
Since those 2 losses, they’ve
won 4 straight including a 30-0 shutout win last week over San Jose St. Again, this team is playing
very good football and starting to get recognition that it lost after last season’s
disastrous record.
This game is on ESPN, Friday night under the lights. Its expected to be Fresno’s first sellout since last year in Sept. There’s a
very good buzz around this team and I think we get an easy win over an
inflated Boise team playing away from home and without their best player. We also have a big scheduling advantage. This is Boise’s 3rd game in 12 days. They played that
exhausting quadruple overtime game vs Nevada Sunday night, then traveled to La Tech and now have to travel again, on a short week. That’s back to back travel dates on short weeks, that kind of schedule has to wear on a team. Meanwhile, Fresno St
is fresh and are playing their second consecutive home game.
Take the points with Fresno as they could very well win this game outright.
