Franchione Should Pay the Price for Pay Newsletter

Another reason Francione is a joke of a coach is the guy is a classic bandwagon jumper, moving from program to program. Consistently throughout his coaching tenure, he has taken advantage of the previous coach’s talent, while doing little while he actually has his recruited players. At TCU, he had a player named LaDainian Tomlinson (recruited by former coach Pat Sullivan), and shortly after LT left early, so did Francione.

Don’t get me wrong, who wouldn’t leave TCU for Alabama, but just keep following the trend I am talking about. Shortly after Franchione was hired, it was discovered that his predecessor, Mike Dubose had some boosters under him paying players (most notably $200,000 for defensive player Albert Means). Alabama would lose 21 scholarships over the next two years, but Franchione seemed content to stay in Alabama, or was he?

Two years after taking the Crimson Tide position, Dennis bolted for Texas A&M. So he left a job widely considered a top 3 position in college football to be a part of a ho hum done nothing outfit in A&M? Why, because he can’t recruit or coach that’s why. In 4+ years at A&M (with all his own players), he has a 16-16 record in the Big 12 (2-0 this season over a dog crap Baylor team, and a 1 pt win over Oklahoma State at home). Come late November, expect that Big 12 record to be 2-6 or 3-5 at best, as he hasn’t won a big game since taking over A&M.

Time for Dennis the Menace to be sent on his way, before he sends another program in disarray.
